Set in the soft wilderness of Richmond Park  <<London, 3pm>>  follows two young men—strangers, both in their early twenties—moving through the same landscape under the same sun, but in vastly different states of being. One is working. The other is not. Their lives never intersect, but they unfold in quiet, cinematic symmetry.

One slips into the park after work, his day still clinging to him in the form of sweat, screen glare, and quiet fatigue. He doesn’t have the luxury of stillness—but steals it in fragments, in golden hour light.

The other is unemployed, not by choice but by circumstance—one of many young people untethered by a job market that promises little and demands much. He wanders, sun-soaked and suspended, caught between freedom and fear. His time stretches endlessly, but meaning feels just out of reach.

This editorial captures the emotional terrain of Gen Z today—where two people the same age can live parallel lives defined by wildly different levels of stability. One is overworked. The other, overlooked. Both are navigating the weight of expectation in a time of uncertainty.

Their paths never cross—but they echo. A quiet ache of sonder, played out in heat, stillness, and unshared time.
